11th Annual Merit Badge Day at SUNY-ESF

Registration Instructions

We are very close to full for this year. Schedules will be worked out and units notified within a few days of closing registration.

You can enter up to 10 scouts' names on this form. If you need to enter more, simply return to the form and enter them.

We ask that you fill out this form with five options for each scout, ranked in order of preference. From this we will generate a schedule of merit badges based on interest and availability of counselors. We cannot promise that all requests will be able to be filled, but we have sufficient flexibility to handle most.

If fewer than two badges are selected, scouts will be scheduled for whatever will work with those options. We will not be able to guarantee that selections will be available consecutively.

The Registration Deadline is 12 Midnight on Thursday, March 18, 2010 or whenever slots are filled - whichever comes first. We have the capacity to handle up to 200 scouts. If that capacity is filled before the deadline, this form will change to reflect that information.

Due to the current economic conditions and rising costs, we are charging $5 per scout this year, which must be paid in advance.

Registration fees of $5 per Scout can be sent as a check or money order (Made out to "Alpha Phi Omega Phi Chapter") and mailed to: Alpha Phi Omega Phi Chapter, Attn: Merit Badge Day Coordinator, 126 Schine Student Center, Syracuse, NY 13244. All units must submit their registration fees in advance and must be postmarked by March 24, 2010.

At least one adult leader needs to be on-site during the day. If this is a problem for your unit, please let us know.

Because of the complications with the Carrier Dome event, leaders bringing troops must arrive for registration and remain through closing at noon. There will be no ability to drop off and pick up. Please indicate below the number of vehicles you will need permitted, and we will issue you a printable parking permit for the day of the event. These permits are NOT valid after noon - per Syracuse University Parking and Transit Services, all vehicles must be out of the parking lot by 12:30 p.m.
